The National MS Society is excited to introduce an Arts Apprenticeship Curatorial Program, in collaboration with Dirwaza Curatorial Lab, for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and other chronic or similar neurological conditions.

This program aims to provide an opportunity to expand an understanding of the art world by exposing its participants to the local art community through teaching sessions and artist studio and exhibition visits. By the end of the program, the participant will have developed a solid foundation in curation that will aid in self-expression and personal growth.

A passion for the world of arts and culture!

Location and Format

Hybrid program, with a blend of virtual and physical group sessions per week primarily in Abu Dhabi, in addition to one in Dubai and one in Sharjah.

*Transportation support will be provided if needed.

Commitment Hours

Instruction hours: 3 hours per week, over 8 weeks

Note: Additional hours may be required for participants to complete coursework, estimated at 2 per week.

Selection Process

From October 1st to October 21st, 2024

If your application is submitted and meets the criteria, a selection committee comprised of NMSS, Dirwaza Curatorial and external representatives from the UAE art ecosystem will conduct 2 rounds of virtual interviews. NMSS will reach out to you if shortlisted with any additional requirements and the course details.

We welcome applications from all prospective candidates who are living with Multiple Sclerosis and/or other neurological conditions and want to recruit those with the most potential and motivation, irrespective of whether they have an art background.
